Sunday Morning Family Worship

Through music, prayer, and studying God’s Word we worship, honor, and glorify God in a casual environment. He is graciously and lovingly meeting our spiritual growth and encouragement needs and blessing beyond what we deserve. (During the worship service, volunteers from the congregation provide Nursery Services and Junior Church.)

Sunday School

ages 2 years old – 100+ Sunday mornings 9:30am – 10:30am

Sunday School is held every Sunday before the worship service (except summer). Instruction is offered for all ages, including two classes for adults, to encourage and help grow in our understanding of God’s Word.

Christmas Pageant

Every year at Christmas time the children and youth from Bunker Hill and the community are invited to participate in a musical drama highlighting the birth of Christ.

Bunker Hill Girls Club

1st grade – 6th grade – Thursday nights 6:30 – 8:00pm

The BH Girls Club is a safe environment where girls can come to have fun, learn and grow closer in their relationships with each other and with God.  We want them to know that they are a treasured daughter of the King and He loves them no matter what!  We will play games, have a short lesson, sing, do crafts, have snacks and have a great time!

Boys Brigade

1st grade – 6th grade – Thursday nights 6:30 – 8:00pm

Thursday nights at the Bunker Hill Christian Boys Brigade is a great time for boys in 1st through 6th grade to come out and play fun games such as dodge ball, manhunt, scatterball, kickball, Frisbee etc. as they make new friends and learn more about Jesus during our story time. Kids can also enjoy trips to the roller skating rink, bonfires, various community service projects, and other events. The leaders really care about them and strive to be good role models, teaching them the importance of being honest through the games we play.

Confirmation

 7th grade – 8th grade -Sunday nights 5:30 – 6:30pm

Middle school students are presented with the opportunity to undergo two school years (on a weekly basis) of intensive study of basic Christian fundamentals and theology. It is our desire to provide each of our young people with a solid Biblical foundation to continue the spiritual journey into their teen and adult years.

Youth Group

 9th grade – 12th grade– Sunday nights 6:30 – 9:00pm

Our youth group meets weekly to minister to the needs of the youth in grades 9-12 within our congregation and our community. At these meetings, the youth participate in various games and activities and receive instruction in God’s Word in a way that is understandable and applicable to their lives. In addition, the group attends various outings and retreats throughout the year and participates in local outreach ministries.

Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) July 30 – Aug 3, 2017

Daily Vacation Bible School is an outreach event for children that takes place each summer for one week. Instruction in God’s Word is centered around a new theme each year to give children the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a clear and entertaining way. As the children grow, it is also an opportunity for the youth to help lead some of activities.

Adult Bible Study and Small Groups

In addition to our regular worship time, Bunker Hill offers several opportunities throughout the week for studying God’s Word and sharing in corporate prayer that focuses on personal, congregational and synodical needs and concerns. Visit our schedule page for times and descriptions.

Women’s Ministry (WMF)

The women of the church get together for various fellowship and discipleship opportunities. In addition to ministering to the women of the congregation, the group provides support to various missionary families of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren.

Senior Citizens Luncheon

Senior Citizens is an outreach and support ministry to the seniors of Bunker Hill and the local community. It meets the second Tuesday of each month for a time of food, fellowship, singing and ministry from God’s Word.

Men’s Breakfast

Each Month (except summer) the men of the church get together for breakfast. The goal of these events is for men to grow together through fellowship, while also enjoying a time of devotions and prayer.

Five Thousand More

The Bunker Hill Lutheran Brethren Church Community Food Ministry exists to serve God, our community, and our church by distributing food to families in need, while demonstrating Christian love and respect and providing opportunities for others to know Christ.

Choir, Praise Team and Special Music

Those who are musically inclined are welcome to participate in our choir and praise team ministries. Our praise team leads the congregation in worship during each Sunday service. Our choir often presents musical numbers during worship services and presents a full-length concert during both the Easter and Christmas seasons.

Athletics

A men’s softball team is available to those who attend the church. The league games are on Monday nights during the months of April through July.

Home and World Missions

The Church of the Lutheran Brethren has a long history of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people around the world by sending and supporting missionary families. As a congregation we support the mission efforts of our synod through faithful prayer and financial support.
