Celebrating Easter at Bunker Hill

You are invited to celebrate the Easter season with us at Bunker Hill! Take a look at the events and special services listed below to find out the details.

 “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners…so now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” Romans 5:8,11

April 9: Palm Sunday

Sunday School – 9:30am – Sunday School children will make resurrection rolls for everyone to enjoy. These rolls are a symbol of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
– Worship Service – 11:00am – During the service, Sunday School children will wave palm branches and sing Hosanna as a reminder of the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
– Easter Cantata – 6:00pm
Our Church Choir will bless us through song while presenting “Because He Lives”.  You are invited to bring finger foods to share after the concert.

April 13: Maundy Thursday – 7:00pm – On this night, we share communion together as we remember the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before he was crucified.

April 14: Good Friday – 7:00pm – At this service, we remember Jesus’s death on the cross for us. Parishioners share the meaning of the 7 last words Jesus spoke from the cross.

April 16: Easter!

– Sunrise Service – 6:30am at the Griggstown Cemetery – We celebrate Jesus’s resurrection at an informal outdoor service.  Following the service, all are invited to IHOP to enjoy breakfast together.

– Easter Worship Service – 11:00am – We join together in worship as we celebrate our Risen Lord!
